Tim Fox, PT, DPT, GCS I Founder and CEO  I  NJ LIC# 40QA 00702100

Dr. Tim Fox is a practicing physical therapist and the Founder and CEO of Fox Rehabilitation™. Tim graduated from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA in 1995 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. He received his Board Certification as a Geriatric Clinical Specialist (GCS) in 2008 from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and went on to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2009 from Thomas Jefferson University. He is also an APTA Credentialed Clinical Instructor (CCI).

Tim's interest in the unique needs of the elderly allowed him to identify a gap and significant limitation in how the elderly access and receive necessary physical, occupational, and speech therapy. After delving into the law, he realized he could do house calls under Medicare Part B. This model would allow each patient to receive the correct intensity and duration of care as indicated by need. Tim vowed to provide accessible, evidence-based therapy interventions that are highly effective in improving levels of function, safety, quality of life, and well-being. With that philosophy and strategy, Tim founded Fox Rehabilitation in 1998. Within fiver years, it had grown to 100 employees.

Today, Fox employs over 400 clinicians who make over 9,000 Geriatric House Calls™ per week to the elderly community in seven states. Fox Rehabilitation also holds the nation's sixth Post-Graduate Physical Therapy Residency Training Program in Geriatrics. Fox is the first to possess this distinction as a private practice.

Tim Fox believes that by using best practice guidelines and the latest evidence, and by insisting on high clinical and interpersonal standards from himself and his colleagues, Fox Rehabilitation patients should perform at their most optimal functional level, regardless of past and current medical conditions. Fox therapists also pride themselves on their ability to manage and educate patients with cognitive impairments.

In addition to his dedication to Fox Rehabilitation, Tim is dedicated to the education of the next generation of therapist. He holds a seat on the Thomas Jefferson University Board of Trustees and on the Scientific and Academic Affairs Committee. Fox has also established two endowed scholarships with TJU. The first is The Fox Rehabilitation Scholarship for the Advancement of Occupational Therapy, in memory of Margaret Sood. The second is The Fox Rehabilitation Scholarship for the Advancement of Physical Therapy.
